What’s Been Happening in Australia in Relation to Sexual Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying from 5–11 June 2017?

Possible Bogus Bullying Claims at APSC
Public servants have appealed to the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) for assistance with ‘bogus’ bullying and harassment claims. It is reported that a number of public servants who have been cautioned for inappropriate behaviour or underperformance, are alleging that they have been bullied or harassed by their managers in order to “derail efforts to get them to lift their games.” The APSC has taken a cautious approach to the assessment of allegations of harassment and bullying, noting “what is perceived as harassment by one person may be proper management action to another.” Further, the APSC has advised that any employee who makes a false statement against a colleague may breach the APSC Code of Conduct.
